Last year, the National Association for Homebuilders created resources to help construction managers and executives address the opioid crisis in the home building industry.
The initiative, “Opioids in the Home Building Industry: Making it Your Business,” provides materials available to anyone in the home building and construction industries.The industry is still facing the acute challenges of a drug crisis while simultaneously grappling with labor shortages.
A key focus of the NAHB initiative is to directly address opioid misuse and get workers safely back to work.One area of focus is dealing with potential overdoses on the jobsite. NAHB encourages builders to buy and receive training on the administering of the NARCAN® (naloxone) Nasal Spray to stop the effects of an opioid overdose. Read More
