Look for more LVP, tile, vinyl, and laminate in kitchens around Rochester, NY, with the natural wood and stone flooring looks predominating. That’s the prediction of Mike Hyde, a sales associate at Carpet One in Rochester. His forecast stems in part from local designers’ predictions that the area’s kitchens will feature brighter, bolder colors, open designs, natural wood in the cabinetry or open shelving, quarts countertops, and off-white finishes.

Rochester homes also are likely to feature bigger backsplash tiles, Hyde says. His prediction: “Tile to the ceiling, large format subway tile, patterned tile, and even metallic and mirrored tile will be at the forefront … for years to come.”
