The International Surface Event Announces National Installer of the Year Champions
Elite installers demonstrate the craftsmanship and technical excellence that defines the industry.
The International Surface Event (tise), the largest annual resource for the flooring, stone, and tile industries, has announced the winners of the 2026 National Installer of the Year Competition. This prestigious competition brings together flooring installation professionals to compete for a grand prize and recognition as top professionals in their field.
Allen Lewis, a certified flooring installer from Alabama, won first place in the engineered wood installation category. James Salisbury, founder of Blue Crew Installation from Indiana, was awarded first place in the carpet installation category.
The Awards ceremony took place on Thursday at the tise LIVE Demo Stage, drawing a large crowd to witness the trophy presentation. Each winner received a $3,000 cash prize and a trophy belt.
The program is presented by CFI Certified Flooring Installers, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving flooring installation in both residential and commercial sectors through training and certification. Sponsors of the competition include Mohawk, QEP, Performance Accessories, Sika and ProInstaller Magazine..
The National Installer of the Year Competition at the International Surface Event (tise) will return to Las Vegas from February 2-4, 2027, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
